JULIANNA YASINSKI EDWARDS

Julianna's 15 year practice has evolved from primarily defense litigation to a balanced representation of employers and employees in all employment matters.  She focuses on a practical and efficient approach to resolving employment disputes, which has proven effective for her clients.  Julianna has extensive experience with wage and hour, workplace violence, employment contract negotiation and wrongful termination disputes.

Julianna graduated, cum laude, from Princeton University with a B.A. Degree.  She
received her J.D. from the University of Southern California School of Law, where she
served as an editor and national competitor for the Hale Moot Court honors program.  
Prior to attending law school, Julianna was a project manager for the United Negro
College Fund. She is involved in several professional organizations, including Princeton Club of Southern California, Los Angeles County Bar Association and Black Women Lawyers of Los Angeles and is very active in the Pasadena community, including her
children's school, St. Mark's Elementary.

 

LESTER L. JONES

Lester has over 20 years experience handling complex employment discrimination and harassment litigation, including jury trials in state and federal court, labor injunctions and wage and hour class actions.  He is also a skilled contract negotiator and NLRB practitioner.

As part of the firm’s commitment to the alternative resolution of disputes, Lester offers mediation services for all types of  employment related matters, counsels employers and employees on ways to prevent litigation, and provides individual and corporate diversity training -- recognizing and appreciating human differences in the workplace.

Before pursuing a career in the law, Lester taught high school in Beloit, Wisconsin for
seven years.  His background in education is an invaluable asset to his mediation,
training and litigation practice.

His first experience as a management attorney was with the California Department of
Personnel Administration where he represented the Governor of the State of California
in all aspects of labor and employment litigation involving over 200 state agencies
and departments with approximately 200,000 employees. He recently left the
national labor and employment firm of Littler Mendelson as a shareholder after sixteen
years.

Lester is a member of the American Bar Association and State Bar of California, including their labor law sections, as well as the Beverly Hills, Los Angeles County, and National Bar Associations.  Lester graduated from McGeorge School of Law and was awarded the National Order of Barristers for his outstanding oral advocacy. He earned his BA in History and Masters Degree in School Administration from the University of Wisconsin, Whitewater.
